About the group

Shrewsbury Hard of Hearing Group is a medium-sized group of hard of hearing and deaf members and also their family members or friends. We have about 45 members and attendance is usually around 30-35.

We have a loop system in operation and also a text-to-screen system, whereby a typist types as the speaker talks so that even the deafest members can follow the conversation.

We usually have a speaker, followed by tea, chat and raffle. The meeting always ends with a joke!

New members are always welcome.
