New course to train lipreading tutors – Scotland

The Scottish Course to Train Tutors of Lipreading is welcoming applications from anyone who is interested in becoming a lipreading tutor.

Lipreading classes are not just about lipreading but about coping strategies, problem solving and information slots. It can be rewarding being a Lipreading Tutor as it has mutual benefits for the tutor and student.

The next course will begin in August 2023. Part of the curriculum this year will be a new module focusing on online lipreading tutoring and how it can help communities in areas where classes are not readily available.
