Captioning Awareness Week 2016

Captioning Awareness Week will take place from 14th-19th November this year.

The event, led by Stagetext, aims to raise awareness of captioning and live subtitling for people with hearing loss across the UK.

This year, supporters are being asked to ‘put their name in a frame’ across social media to achieve this goal. They are being encouraged to take a ‘selfie’ and upload it to Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag ‘#CAPaware16’.

People with hearing loss could have their enjoyment of arts transformed with access to live captioning or subtitles.
