Views sought on Accessible Information Standard
NHS England is seeking views as part of a review into the Accessible Information Standard which launched last year.
The Standard aims to ensure that people with a disability, impairment or sensory loss receive accessible information and communication support from providers of NHS care and adult social care.
The aim of this review is to assess the impact of the Standard and to ensure that it is ‘fit for purpose’.
Three surveys have been created seeking views from different stakeholder groups. These include:
- Survey for patients, service users, carers and parents (also available as a Word document and easy read (and associated diversity monitoring questions, also available in easy read)
- Survey for health and care professionals and organisations – online and Word document
- Survey for support, supplier and representative organisations – online and Word document
Further information can also be sought via a blog on the review by Olivia Butterworth.
The survey closes on 11th March.
