Participants sought for remote mics study
The User experience & Design team at Sonova are currently running a research study on the use of remote microphones by hearing aid and cochlear implant users. The goal is to form a community that can influence and shape the design of future devices to better serve those that use them. To do so, the team at Sonova are looking for participants willing share their experiences and any issues and challenges faced.
Sonova has already conducted the first stage of this study having met with several existing users of remote mics, and for this second stage are seeking more users to complete an online diary during the month of October.
Please read below for details on the project and how to sign up.

Help us shape the future of your hearing devices…
We would like to invite you to become part of a growing global community of hearing aid users who share their experience and views. We run regular research studies (typically in cities such as NY, London and Zurich) to help improve products and services from the user perspective to make sure we design with your life and needs in mind.
This autumn we are interested in finding out how, when and why you use your remote microphone device; what role it plays in your life and how we can help address any product challenges you may be facing.
What does it entail?
You will take part in a friendly online diary study over a two week period (early-mid October), where you will give your feedback every other day (about 10-15 minutes/day) and have the opportunity to connect to others. You will at a later stage be invited to take part in a creative workshop to help shape the future of such a device – from the way it works to the way it looks. Participants will receive an incentive as a token of our appreciation.
Who can take part?
You need to be a hearing aid or cochlear implant user that also owns and uses a remote microphone device (such as Phonak Roger Pen/ Clip-On Mic, Comfort Audio D20, Resound MultiMic, Starkey SurfLink Mobile or similar).
How do I sign up?
Taking part is easy, just follow the link here: research.sonova.com Please be reassured that any data will be used for research purposes only and will not be passed on to others. If you have any questions or for more details, you can contact Lisa Messmer at lisa.messmer@sonova.com. We look forward to being in touch and getting to know you – your feedback matters and can make a big impact on the future of the devices you use. Together, we can make a difference!
