Introducing Emily
My name’s Emily and I recently joined Hearing Link Services as the new Digital Marketing Executive.
My role is to look after Hearing Link’s social media channels, the website content, and our Google Ads account to spread as much awareness as possible about all the incredible work we do and the services we offer to people with hearing loss.
Can you help?
We are always looking to provide opportunities for our peer support volunteers to get involved and use their knowledge and experience to make these channels a success. I am hoping that you can help me with a project I am leading on which will see us update some of our static / information pages.
Your knowledge will help us to provide the most relevant information, on the most important hearing loss topics we share on our website.
The webpages I have identified as requiring information updates are:
- FM Systems
- Non-verbal communication
- Taking time out
- Travelling
- Access to work
- Speech recognition systems
- Useful apps for hearing loss
- Telephones
Don’t worry if you don’t have any improvements to suggest for these pages, there are other ways you can help.
Lived experience
If you have first-hand experience of using any assistive listening technology, apps or some of the products we provide (e.g. lanyards), you can still help us to improve our content.
We are looking for volunteers to provide a short paragraph (or a sentence or two) on how these technologies and products have helped you.
We also want to know how they’ve benefitted your life and helped you to live better with hearing loss. We’d like to start adding quotes to site pages to help show visitors how these tools/gadgets can help them. If you are also able to share a photograph of you using such technologies, please send these too.
New content
And finally, we are also looking for volunteer with knowledge of specific topics to help us create new pages. These are:
- Bluetooth technology and how it works with hearing aids
- Benefits available to people living with hearing loss (Answering these questions: What level of hearing loss is considered a disability UK? Does hearing loss qualifies for PIP? (Personal Independence Payment), etc)
If you can assist with any of these topics, please do get in touch. You can email me!
